Cutting of organic clothing for babies and toddlers

Cutting of the ecological textiles for bodysuits and rompers of the sustainable label of maedchenwald are is performed by Wien Work.

Since 2014, cutting of bodysuits and rompers is performed in cooperation with Wien Work. All pieces of clothing are produced in Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The accessory, such as snap fasteners, buttons and sewing silk stems from Austria and Germany, and is a 100 % nickel-free. This cooperation is a win-win situation for maedchenwald as well as for Wien Work. maedchenwald really appreciate this uncomplicated cooperation, and Wien Work benefit from learning new techniques in cutting.

maedchenwald are an Austrian enterprise, which was founded in 2007 by the designer Anna Bogner. This label works according to the principle of sustainability, and processes exclusively cotton from controlled organic cultivation, GOTS certified. In addition, maedchenwald refrain from production in low-wage countries.

Wien Work are a non-profit enterprise of social economy, which procure and create workplaces for persons disadvantaged in the labor market. Persons with disabilities, chronic diseases or long-term unemployed persons get an opportunity to participate in the process of economy and society. Instances of cooperation, such as cooperation with the ZID are an important basis for Wien Work in order to comply with this beneficial mission.
